PERSONAL LEADERSHIP: LEADING & TEACHING FROM WITHIN
Cork Education Support Centre in collaboration with SHEP (Social and Health Eduation Project)
Tuesdays 10th and 17th November 2020
4:30 – 6:30 pm (online via Zoom)
When we teach, we teach who we are as much as we teach content and skills. Our presence becomes the message.
In such a challenging time, grounding in who we are at our best is not easy. Personal Leadership offers practices that use the uncertainty, the uneasiness, and the “not knowing” we face each day to create a space for creativity and insight when we need it most.
Based on a foundation of mindful awareness, Personal Leadership offers specific practices that enable us to become aware of our habitual reactions, and to transcend them, thereby creating the space to consciously choose how we want to be and how we want to respond.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the practice of Personal Leadership and have the opportunity to apply it to challenging situations in your own life.
It is suggested that to get the most from the workshop, participants commit to attending the workshop for the full scheduled time barring unforeseen circumstances.
Maureen Lancaster, Ed.D. is a senior facilitator of Personal Leadership and an adult educator with experience in third level and community education. She is also a practitioner in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She enjoys facilitating workshops that include fun and joy at a pace intended to help you rejuvenate towards the end of a long day!
