Heightening Awareness & Exploring Approaches in the Workplace & when Working from Home.

Series of 3 online workshops taking place on November 3rd, 10th and 17th  from 7pm - 9pm.

This will be delivered by Teresa Hand-Campbell, an Occupational Coaching Psychologist with 30 years’ experience in education leadership roles.

This work seeks to get past the definitions of dysfunction in the workplace and to drill down to the reality experienced there; to consider strategies and actions to co-create a bi-directional flow of goodwill, care and consideration between leadership, management, staff and students which will ultimately transform the entire ‘culture’ of the school.

Week 1: Effective Communication & the Leader’s Role in Staff Resilience. Looking at culture and communication under adaptive and responsible leadership. Exploring avenues to nurturing wellbeing and optimum performance in the workplace. Examining human resilience and what staff need from Leaders in the workplace/ when working from home.

Week 2: Conflict Management. Define and understand ‘conflict’ and its effects, particularly ‘functional’ and ‘dysfunctional’ conflict. Identify ‘triggers’ and steps to avert potential conflict arising. Understand the Thomas-Kilmann 5 Conflict Handling Styles applied in the organizational setting. Exploring approaches to dealing with conflict & finding resolutions.

Week 3: Dignity at Work. Areas covered will include: organisational awareness, understanding ‘self’, importance of core values, the leader-follower dynamic, the toxic triangle and negative consequences that result from a confluence of destructive leadership, susceptible followers and conducive environments, Emotional Intelligence, facilitating difficult dialogues, separating assumptions/biases from facts navigating the triggering events cycle.
