Course description

Course Title: The Primary School Principal – Leading the Learning and Reflective School

The Irish Primary Principals’ Network, in association with Cork Education Centre and Limerick Education Centre, are offering a summer course designed specifically  for Principals.

 

The course provides opportunities for principal teachers to explore key elements of their leadership role in order to lead high quality teaching and learning and manage an effective and positive school organisation. It provides an opportunity to learn from facilitators and colleagues in similar roles and is structured to provide opportunities for principals to reflect on and to work with each other, to set strategic direction for their schools and to learn from each other. The course will include emphasis on:

Developing a positive school  climate where well-being is intrinsic to the ethos of the school;

Well-being of Principal teachers

School self-evaluation and driving school improvement;

The importance of coaching and developing a growth mindset

Managing change and the importance of staff meetings.

Before you finalise payment for your course, please note the following:

 

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

 

In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course and all monies will be refunded in full.
