Course description

                               

 

This course provides a good overview of the range of involvements of women in the period from 1912 onwards - Lockout, 1916 Rising, working in factories during WWI Ulster especially, Cumann na mBan, involvement in Sinn Féin, Women in Education.

 

The campaign by Irish women for the right to vote, and links to the English 'Suffragette' movement.

 

Examining Herstory through local history.

 

Unravelling the everyday lives of women through history.

 

Course will include walking tours of sites associated with Historic Cork Women.

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

 

In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course and all monies will be refunded in full.
