Teaching Chess in Primary Schools
This course on teaching chess in primary schools is aimed at both teachers who know how to play chess and those who do not. Recent research in a number of countries has shown that regular chess practice results in increased scores in literacy and numeracy.

This course has been successfully run in Kildare, Dublin, Meath, Laois and Waterford by experienced chess coach and primary school teacher Liam Murray. The course is fun, hands-on with little or no note-taking as all resources are provided digitally.

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.
In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course and all monies will be refunded in full.
