First Aid in the School Setting  

This First Aid Training will empower people with the skills and confidence to help in a medical emergency in the school setting.

This course will take place in the Cork Education Support Centre

The following topics will be covered:

• Incident Reporting
• Concussion
• Choking
• Bleeding
• Broken Bones
• Breathing Problems
• Well Being of the First Aider

This First Aid Course will allow us to examine the practical problems facing teachers and SNAs and incorporate possible solutions.

Bio of Finbarr Barrett – Practical First Aid Solutions:

Finbarr is a former EMT with the HSE ambulance service and has been teaching First Aid for the last 20 years.  He is a recognised First Aid Instructor with Cork City Child Care
