Newsletter - 27th April to 10th May 2026
Dear Principal, Teacher and SNA,
I hope this newsletter finds you well as we move into a busy and exciting period for professional development across our Cork education community. I am delighted to share with you a summary of all upcoming CPD events for the fortnight beginning 27th April through to 10th May 2026.
2026 Primary Summer Course Programme
Since the launch of this year's summer course programme on Monday 13th April 2026, the response from the Cork Primary education community has been truly wonderful. A number of courses are either already nearly fully subscribed or very close to being so I would strongly encourage you to review what is on offer and secure your place without delay.
Full details of all available summer courses are accessible via the Centre website. I am also pleased to announce that we will be launching our suite of online summer courses on Tuesday 5th May 2026 — watch this space for further details.

Twilight at the Museum — Special Event
Thursday 7th May | 6pm – 7pm | Primary & Post-Primary
I am delighted to share that Cork Education Support Centre has partnered with Cork Public Museum to host a very special evening event — ‘Twilight at the Museum’ — at Cork Public Museum, Fitzgerald's Park. This event will be hosted by Museum Curator Dan Breen, and will feature a guided tour of the museum's exhibits, with a particular focus on supporting teachers in bringing class groups to visit. It promises to be an engaging and practical evening for both primary and post-primary teachers alike.
Refreshments will be provided on arrival from 6pm. We look forward to welcoming you.
As always, the team here at Cork Education Support Centre remains committed to providing the highest quality of professional development opportunities to support you, your schools, and the wider Cork education community.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events.
Mise le meas,
Edmond Hussey
