eTwinning

Cork Education Support Centre is delighted to introduce local schools to the eTwinning project.

eTwinning is a framework for schools to collaborate on the Internet with partner schools in other European countries. Leargas is the national agency responsible for etwinning and many students nationwide are enjoying the enriching experience of working collaboratively on pedagogically relevant projects with their Eurpoean "class mates". The use of ICT enables them to communicate live on the internet adding an exciting dimension to the learning.

  • eTwinning Weeks 2007 are being organised to focus on encouraging schools and teachers to get involved in eTwinning this autumn.
  • Between September 17th and October 19th 2007, special events, activities and prizes are planned across Europe.
  • eTwinning is a simple and straightforward way of finding a partner school in the rest of Europe to work together on a range of activities, using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Schools who wish to register for the project should do so on http://www.etwinning.net
