Cork Education Support Centre
Reception is open from 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-5.00pm on Friday. The Centre is also open Monday - Friday evenings & Saturdays on request.
How to Find us
From the city centre follow the signs for Killarney and West Cork, west out of the city along Washington Street. Once you have passed The River Lee Hotel on your left, turn right after the next set of traffic lights (main gates of University College Cork are on your left), then immediately left towards Mardyke Walk and Fitzgerald’s Park to access the main entrance & reception. We are the first entrance on the left hand side.
From the east & Dublin on approaching Cork take the Jack Lynch Tunnel (N25 Southbound)
Continue forward onto South Ring Road - N25 (signposted The West) N25
At Sarsfield Road Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Sarsfield Road - N71 (signposted Wilton)
At Wilton Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Wilton Road - N71 (signposted City Centre)
At traffic signals continue forward onto the N71 (signposted City Centre)
At traffic signals bear right onto Western Road - N22 (signposted City Centre)
From the west, travel towards the city centre along Western Road.
CESC is the last building on the left-hand side of Western Road, forms the corner of Mardyke Walk and Western Road, and has an entrance on both streets. Turn left onto Mardyke Walk towards Fitzgerald's Park to access the main entrance & reception.
Parking: Limited parking is available in and around the Centre. Parking discs are on sale in the Centre for parking on Mardyke Walk.
St. Finbarre's Car Park, located at Sharman Crawford Street, is five minutes walk from the Centre.
By Train: Kent Train Station is Cork's main station and is located on the Glanmire Road, north of the river Lee. It is located approximately 30 minutes walking distance from the Education Centre and is serviced by bus and taxi.
By Bus: The No. 8 Bus (marked 'Bishopstown') and the No. 5 Bus (marked 'Rossa Avenue') leave Patrick Street approximately every 15 minutes. Ask to be let off at Gaol Cross for the Education Centre.
